Main Street Vinyl Event & Artist BannersCassey collaborated with the Community Relations Director at the City of Madison to redesign event banners which were hung on lamp posts along Main Street. She communicated with over 15 different organizations to create mockup designs for their events. Cassey used Adobe Illustrator to create the designs then sent compressed PDF proofs of the banner to the event organizers for review. Once the final design was approved she prepared the banners for print on vinyl per the printing company's specifications (keeping in mind space for bleed, grommets, and additional design for the wrapping at the top of the banner.
For the Artist's Banners, Cassey worked closely with the Madison Area Arts Alliance, Madison Main Street Program, and the City of Madison to create a grant proposal to fund banners for intersection light poles along Main Street. The project was approved by OCRA (Office of Community and Rural Affairs) and granted funding. Cassey designed approximately 24 banners with local artist's work. Included on the banner design were the artist's name and one of the three designations the City of Madison has received (Arts & Cultural District, National Historic Landmark District, and Indiana Stellar Community Designation). |
Madison Market Business Plan PresentationCassey's 2017 Senior Business Strategy Class at Hanover College had one overarching project for the semester: to create a Business Strategy for a local organization. The class worked with Madison Consolidated High School's Career and College Readiness Coordinator to come up with an Entrepreneurial Pathway by providing a curriculum that teaches essential business skills as well as opening a student-run grocery store in downtown Madison to create a highly cultivating, experiential, and unique program.
Cassey's main portion of the project was to design and layout the classes final presentation. She took an image of the building and photoshopped it to show how the building could look for the student's "Madison Market." She created the Madison Market logo, the building layout sketch, and was part of the "Art Academy" team which brainstormed the curriculum for that portion of the Market.
